Dermal fillers are made up of a natural, biodegradable gel called Hyaluronic acid (HA); a naturally occurring substance found in the body. At your dermal filler consultation we will discuss with you the best options and the results that your would like to achieve. During your consultation we will answer any questions you may have about your skin concerns, explaining the procedure, recovery, likely outcomes and costs involved.
After Care
We have a unique 24 hour after care service where we are available to answer any questions you may have.
Immediately after treatment it is quite normal for there to be slight redness, swelling and tenderness around the treated area. These signs generally disappear in a few days but if they persist for longer, please contact your medical aesthetic practitioner.
It is recommended that you do not use any make up for 12 hours following the treatment and that any extended exposure to the Sun, UV rays and temperatures below 0°C be avoided.
Do not enter a sauna or similar environment for two weeks following treatment.
Do you seek the advice of your medical aesthetics practitioner if you suffer from an outbreak of facial cold sores immediately after treatment.
If you are taking aspirin, high doses of vitamin C or any other anticoagulants the risk of bruising and bleeding may be higher. Discuss any concerns you may have with your medical aesthetic practitioner.
